This policy explains what Hazelake Construction collects through this website, how we use it and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to answer your request and run this website.

Quote requests

When you send a quote request, the form saves the details you enter:

Your name and phone number
The service you need, and the type of handyman job if you pick one
Your city, email and a short description, if you add them
Any photos you attach

The request also records when it arrived, how you found the site and whether our alerts about it went out. Photos and descriptions only need to show the job, so please leave out anything private.

Call and text buttons

Our own counter adds up taps on the call and text buttons by type of page, service, city and button location. These totals carry no name, number or message. A tap doesn’t tell us whether a call connected or a text was sent.

How you found us

Your browser keeps a short note of how you reached the site. It lists the first page you opened, the website that sent you and any ad or campaign tags. Those tags can include a Google Ads click ID.

One note covers your first visit, and another covers your latest visit from an ad or another site. The notes stay on your device for up to 90 days. They reach us only if you send a quote request.

Technical information

Our server briefly uses your device’s IP address to block repeated or automated form submissions. It isn’t saved with your request. If the form shows a spam check, a service provider runs it to tell people from automated bots.

After you send a request, your browser holds a short receipt for the thank-you page. That page deletes the receipt as soon as it opens.

How We Use Your Information

Your details help us answer your request and do the work well. They are used for these purposes:

To call, text or email you about your request
To prepare your itemized quote and plan the visit with you
To let our team know when a new request arrives
To see which pages, ads and searches help people find Hazelake
To keep the form safe from spam and misuse

Hazelake Construction never sells your information. Sending a quote request doesn’t sign you up for marketing messages.

Data Retention

Quote requests, photos and our notes about them are kept as business records. They stay until we no longer need them, or until you ask us to delete them.

The notes your browser keeps about how you found us clear themselves after 90 days. Tap counts are totals with no personal details attached.

Cookies and Analytics

Google Ads and Google Analytics

Our Google Ads and Google Analytics measurement is switched off right now, so no Google measurement script loads. When we turn it on, it works as described here. The Google tag counts ad clicks, calls, texts and quote requests, and shows us how visitors use our pages.

Google may set cookies or read similar data on your device for this. Google handles that data under Google’s own privacy policy.

When enhanced conversions are on, a quote request can pass your phone number and email to Google in scrambled (hashed) form. Google uses it to match the request to an ad click. Declining cookies in the notice switches this off.

Visitors who arrive from one of our ads may see a Google forwarding number in place of our main number. Google forwards the call to us and tells our ad account that an ad led to a call.

Your cookie choices

In most places, ad and analytics cookies are on until you turn them off. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, they stay off by default. While our measurement is on, the cookie notice has a Decline button.

Declining tells the Google tag not to store or read ad and analytics cookies. You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings button, here or at the bottom of every page. Your browser saves your choice, so the notice doesn’t return on every page.

Maps

Many of our pages show an embedded Google map of the area we serve. The map loads by itself as you scroll to it. When it loads, Google receives information from your browser, such as your IP address and device details, and may set cookies.

Your information is shared only in the ways this policy describes:

With service providers that host our website and send our messages, so they can do that work for us
With Google, for the ad and visit measurement described above, while it’s switched on
When the law requires it

We use service providers that may store or process your information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.

Photos you send never appear on this website without your permission.

Security

This site uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, so your details travel securely. Photos sit in private storage, and only our team can open them after signing in to a password-protected inbox.

No website or storage system is perfectly secure, so please share only what your quote needs.

Your Rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, and to correct or delete it. Email hazelakeconstruction@gmail.com with your name and the phone number you used, and we’ll take care of it.

You can change your cookie choice at any time with the Cookie settings button. Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes the notes about how you found us.

Children’s Privacy

This website is meant for adults arranging work on their homes, not for children. If a child has sent us information, email us and we’ll delete it.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may change when the website or our services change. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last updated.
