Why homeowners call us

A new wood floor should look good and feel firm under your feet.

Signs it's time to call

Wood boards damaged across a room
A floor that feels soft or uneven
A worn finish that cannot be sanded again

Repair

A few damaged boards may be replaceable if your floor is firm and a match exists. Sound wood may also benefit from refinishing.

Replace

Badly worn or wet boards may call for new flooring. Your floor underneath needs checking before new wood goes down. Solid and engineered wood need different installation methods.

How the job works

1

First, a proper look

Want wood floors without squeaks or uneven edges? The floor underneath may need attention first. We check moisture, low spots and door swings before helping you choose a suitable wood.

2

Your options

Most jobs can be done more than one way. We go through what the job needs, what is optional and what each choice costs, so the decision is yours.

3

The work

Your chosen boards go over a prepared floor with room to move at the edges. We plan doorways and trim around them. If the boards underneath are weak, we talk it through before installation continues.

4

A final check together

The new floor should feel firm at its edges and doorways. We walk it with you and share care guidance. Natural grain varies, while a new finish cannot stop water entering from elsewhere.

How pricing works

Every quote we send is free and itemized.

Text us 2–3 photos for a faster quote.

What changes the price

  • Wood choice
  • Floor repairs
  • Pattern
  • Transitions

Wood type, floor repair, transitions and trim affect your quote. Removal and preparation appear as separate costs. You can compare the installed job, not just the board price.

Your quote lists every item before work starts.

What's included

  • We take a proper look at the problem before recommending anything.
  • Your written quote itemizes the work and the materials.
  • At the end, we go over the finished job with you.

Your questions, answered

Can you install solid hardwood in my basement?

Dampness can make solid wood a poor fit downstairs. We check the room and show you other options if needed.

Why do you check for dampness before laying wood?

Wood can swell when the floor beneath it stays damp. Your boards and the floor below both need checking before installation.

Will new hardwood stop my floor from squeaking?

Not if the floor underneath still moves. We find the squeak before putting down new boards.

Will my new hardwood meet the next room neatly?

The height at each doorway shapes the finished edge. Your quote can include trim for a clean change between floors.

Will you nail every hardwood floor down?

Some hardwood products use other installation methods. Your floor and the board maker’s directions will guide how we install it.
