Why homeowners call us
A bouncy floor or raised joints can make your new laminate feel wrong.
Signs it's time to call
Repair
A matching board may solve a small area of damage. We check for bumps and moisture before fitting it.
Replace
Joints lifting across a room may mean wider replacement. Problems underneath need attention before new boards go down. A floating floor needs room at the edges to move.
How the job works
First, a proper look
Is your old laminate lifting at the joins or bouncing underfoot? Water or uneven support may be behind it. We check those and the doorways before you choose another floor.
Your options
Most jobs can be done more than one way. We go through what the job needs, what is optional and what each choice costs, so the decision is yours.
The work
The floor below needs attention before new boards go down. We flatten planned low spots and fit underlay and laminate with room at the edges. We deal with damp or weak flooring first.
A final check together
Your boards should meet neatly at joints and doorways. We check those with you and explain care or replacing a damaged board. Laminate cannot be sanded like hardwood.

Why do the joins in my laminate floor stick up?
Moisture or a tight fit may be pushing the boards together. We check the edges and base before suggesting a repair.
Will extra underlay fix a bumpy floor?
Not always: the floor underneath may need flattening before your new laminate goes down. You’ll know what that involves before installation.
Can you use any foam under my laminate?
No, your chosen boards need the right underlay. The wrong product can leave your new floor feeling loose.
Can laminate run through every doorway without a strip?
Room size and the product maker’s directions shape where strips go. We’ll show you any doorway changes before installing.
Can you sand a scratch out of my laminate?
Laminate cannot be sanded like solid wood. We’ll explain whether a section can be repaired or needs replacing.
